Bringing Snow Inside

January 9, 2015 by mybookboost

If your area is anything like ours, it’s really cold out there. Here’s an easy activity, especially for days that it’s too cold and windy for kids to play outside in the snow.

Gather large containers for the snow as well as toys and tools the kids can use with the snow. Someone brave can get bundled up and will need to go outside and put some snow in the containers. Then, you’re all set for a unique sensory experience.

Stay warm! What other activities do you do when the weather outside is frightful?

Fun idea!! We did this last year when it was so cold out. We used water colors and painted the snow. Very fun but not as colorful as it looked on Pinterest!

What fun but alas we live in South Texas and snow is VERY rare. Last year we made our own DIY snow. The kids had a blast. We shared the recipe that actually had a “cold” feel to it. Such fun.

    Jeannine,
That would be rare for you to get snow! But, having nice mild temps year round would be nice! Less cabin fever. Thanks for stopping by! (=

I love bringing the snow inside (and my kids love it too). They’re not big on being outside when it’s too cold out.

Thanks for sharing and for linking up to the #SHINEbloghop.

    Wishing you a lovely day.
